Life can feel overwhelming at times. Whether you’re weighed down by anxiety, healing from the past, struggling in your relationships, or facing big changes, you don’t have to go through it alone. I offer a safe, compassionate space where we can work through what’s troubling you and find a way forward together. The services you’ll see below are just part of the support I provide—each session is tailored to you, your needs, and your goals.
Anxiety is a natural response, but when it becomes constant, it can leave you feeling on edge, restless, and exhausted. You might notice a racing heart, shallow breathing, difficulty focusing, or experience endless “what if” thoughts and catastrophising — a tendency to assume the worst-case scenario — that make it hard to relax or enjoy life.
I work with you to identify the root causes of your anxiety and develop strategies tailored to your needs. Using a combination of approaches — including solution focused strategies, practical coping skills, cognitive behaviour therapy or BWRT — we address both the immediate symptoms and the underlying patterns. Together, we’ll build tools to help you feel more in control, reduce anxious responses, and regain confidence in everyday situations.
Stress is a normal part of life, but when it feels overwhelming, it can affect your mind, body, and sense of direction.
Together, we’ll explore the sources of your stress and develop practical strategies to regain clarity. This might include breaking down complex challenges into manageable steps, identifying priorities, or experimenting with new ways to approach recurring problems. My goal is to help you feel more grounded, confident in your choices, and able to move forward with a clear sense of direction.
At times, life can feel heavy, and it’s natural to go through periods of sadness or low energy. But when these feelings linger or grow stronger, they can affect your motivation, relationships, and ability to enjoy everyday life. You might notice changes in sleep, appetite, focus, or a sense of emptiness that feels hard to shake.
Let us uncover what may be contributing to these patterns—whether it’s self-critical thinking, lifestyle factors, or underlying emotional blocks.
Creating a plan that supports you in managing depression, rebuilding hope, and taking steps toward feeling more like yourself again. We test strategies that restore energy and motivation, such as building small achievable routines, reconnecting with activities that bring meaning, and gently reshaping thought patterns. Subtle interventions like BWRT can help release entrenched emotional responses, supporting faster progress in lifting mood.
Grief is not a problem to fix—it’s an experience to navigate. Whether your loss comes from death, separation, or life transitions. It can leave you feeling empty, making it hard to find joy in things you once loved. The challenge is finding a way to live fully alongside the pain. The emotional weight can feel overwhelming. Together, we explore ways to honour what has been lost while slowly rebuilding engagement with life. This may involve reflective exercises, narrative work to process memories, or practical strategies for coping with difficult moments. BWRT can occasionally assist in easing emotional blocks, allowing space for hope and meaning to re-emerge.
Relationships are at the heart of our lives, shaping our happiness, sense of belonging, and emotional well-being. They provide support, connection, and meaning, but they can also bring challenges. Miscommunication, trust issues, differing expectations, or life changes can strain even the strongest bonds, leaving us feeling disconnected or uncertain.
We focus on the patterns that influence how you relate to others—what triggers conflict, how boundaries are set, and where connection breaks down. Exploring practical ways to communicate effectively, build trust, and navigate differences. By addressing these challenges and enhancing communication, we can work together to build trust, foster understanding, and strengthen your relationships. This process empowers you to create more fulfilling, meaningful, and lasting connections that enrich your life.
Trauma can stem from many different experiences, such as accidents, loss, abuse, or witnessing distressing events.
It often leaves an invisible imprint that shows up in many ways, including flashbacks, nightmares, or feeling constantly on edge. You may also notice heightened stress, difficulty trusting others, or a sense of numbness or detachment. Affecting how you respond to the world and relate to yourself.
In a safe, structured environment, we focus on restoring a sense of stability and safety. This could mean learning ways to regulate intense emotions, gradually confronting difficult memories, or reclaiming confidence in everyday life. Proven techniques like grounding exercises and mindfulness can support you in managing overwhelming emotions. BWRT can be gently applied to modify entrenched emotional reactions, complementing trauma-informed techniques. Helping you can regain control, resilience, and the ability to engage with life on your terms.
Past experiences can leave deep marks, sometimes showing up as painful memories, anxiety, or feeling stuck in old patterns. Counselling provides a safe space to process these experiences and begin to heal.
I also offer BWRT® (BrainWorking Recursive Therapy)—a gentle, modern approach that works with the brain’s natural processes to release the emotional grip of trauma, phobias, or unhelpful thought patterns.
Together, we’ll find the approach that feels right for you, helping you feel safer, lighter, and more in control of your life.

"I wasn’t really sure what I was expecting from my sessions when I first met with Gabi, but she was so easy to speak with, that I found it natural to open myself. I learned so much about myself, and am much more confident in who I am, and how I react to things. I now have strategies for helping myself. I found the BWRT sessions we did were an excellent addition alongside the regular counselling sessions. I would thoroughly recommend Gabi."

"My sessions with Gabi were an invaluable help at a low time in my life. I always felt listened to, supported and never judged. I now feel like I have control of my life back, with improved confidence, self-esteem and a range of tools to lean on. She was very flexible with on
line or in person sessions and timings too."

"Gabi was referred to me by my G.P. at Minchinhampton Surgery in February 2023 to help with an on-going issue of anxiety and tension. The first seven sessions were via the Surgery and then I asked if I could continue on a monthly basis until our last session in December 2023 as a private client. I found Gabi to be an excellent listener with a gentle approach which was always helpful and completely "non judgemental". I found our sessions very helpful and relaxing and I can fully recommend her services to anyone who would benefit. I know I can return to her anytime the need arises and this gives me continued encouragement and support. Thank you Gabi."

"Gabi helped me following the death of my mother. I always left our sessions feeling much better than when I arrived. Our discussions helped me to find strategies for dealing with family conflicts. I am very grateful for her support throughout what was a difficult period for me."
